I am so happy to be offering our Christmas Cookie & Craft Workshops again this year!!! The kids have had so much fun in the years past. As a busy homeschooling and stay at home Mom, I understand the need for time away from your little ones to go Christmas shopping!

*Snack and Lunch Provided!!!

*Outdoor fun time, weather permitting.

*Ages 3-6 Welcome!!!

*Each group will have a teacher and helper, only 10 children maximum per workshop.

HELPER:

I have hired a pre-teen helper to assist me in the workshops, so I will not be alone. She is extremely qualified and one of the most mature young ladies I know. She serves regularly in our church's children's ministry and I am happy to have her on my team. Also this ensures each child gets to have the best experience possible and the attention they deserve at Ms. Meghann's Christmas Workshop.

If you are intersted in signing your child up for one of our Christmas Cookie & Craft Workshops, email or call to sign them up. I can be reached at: meghannboothe@yahoo.com or 704-218-3053.

A Little About Me:
I thought you may be interested in learning a little about me, since you will be leaving your sweet kiddos in my care. I am a Christian, stay at home mom, homeschooler of my two daughters, and wife to my very best friend. My girls are 6yrs and 4yrs and my husband and I have been married for 12 years.

Up until the past few months I ran an in home child care business and preschool out of my home. I can provide you with many references upon your request as to my qualifications in caring for children of the preschool age and up. The only reason I do not provide child care regularly anymore, is because I decided to continue homeschooling my daughter for 1st grade. I knew I could not to both great. I also am the preschool coordinator in my church and serve regularly.

The Christmas Cookie and Craft Workshops have been so fun over the years, I still wanted to offer them again this year even though I'm not providing child care services regularly any more. I will offer occasional daytime child care through the holiday season as well.

Things I love: Family, God, Watching my kids learn, Animals(we have chickens), Cooking, Chocolate, Running and Reading.

Thanks for your support!!

Clothing Swap

This weekend is going to be a tad chilly, so maybe you were thinking about tackling the joyous task of switching out your kids' summer and winter clothes? Out with the old and in with the new, right? Then perhaps, in your great relief about finishing the job, you were going to drive over to the Goodwill truck and dump off those outgrown clothes so you would never have to look at them again.

DON'T DO IT!! MOPS is going to be having a clothes swap in just a few weeks. Details will follow, but you can bring those old clothes and pick up some "new" ones--ALL FOR FREE.

We'd love for you to save the gently used clothes for the swap.

Bring separate bins or laundry baskets with clothes sorted by size and gender. (Or by women's size including maternity) Be sure items are stain-free, tear-free, and multi-piece outfits are pined or well-attached. During the swap, we will allow you to choose outfits based on the honor system, as many as you need. Your selection does not need to be equal to what you brought, and we decided for ease not to worry with a ticket system. HOWEVER, please be observant of other moms shopping in the same bins that you are and do not take an unreasonable share. We are doing this to help each other out, so be gracious to one another. Remember, we are all in the same boat. Perhaps if you see three other moms are selecting from the same size/gender bins, take turns each selecting item one item. Especially with shoes, do not take more than one pair until everyone has had a turn. If you need to shop from multiple sizes, go first to the sizes you are most in need of. Obviously, we want ALL the clothes to be swapped, but any remaining will be given to a women's shelter.

Don't miss our next MOPS meeting!

Friday, February 11th at 9:30 AM

It is going to be a "flip-flop" February at MOPS! We are flipping our meetings and this Friday, February 11th is our Craft day! We have a very special craft: No sew fleece blankets. If you have fabric scissors, please label and bring them. You will be making two blankets: one to take home and one to donate to a special children's hospital. This is in loving memory of little Carter Cummings.

I am planning to be back at MOPS this meeting; I am so excited to see everyone. But, to make things a little easier on me I am inviting our MOMSnext group to join us. MOMSnext is for mothers of school-aged children. We usually meet after our MOPS meeting for lunch once a month. I am just not up for an all day event yet. Thank you so much for your prayers and encouraging words as I have been through this difficult recovery time at home. I loved the get well banner everyone signed and I still have it taped to my living room wall. I love you all! Blessings, Heather

Here are some helpful tips to make your MOPS morning even more enjoyable.

  • Come as early as 9:20 am to drop off your children for MOPPETS.
Please make sure to mark all of your child's belongings (i.e. diaper bag, bottles, pacifiers, etc.)
*Please include a change of clothes for each child in their bag. To check in, enter through the glass doors closest to our sanctuary.
  • It's cold & flu season. A child who has been sick within the last 24 hours shouldn't come to MOPPETS. A fever, diarrhea, vomiting, or a runny nose that isn't clear means it's a day to stay home.

Moms, come hungry! Breakfast is served . . .
