MOPS.org Resources for MOMS!

Hey moms,

Hope you are all having a great summer. I know your time is limited to reading and catching up on emails, websites and your favorite blogs, but I didn't want the summer to pass by with you forgetting all of the helpful information on the MOPS.org site.

RESOURCES
Take some time to visit the site and see all of the fun resources they have put together just for us moms.

Check out the forums (you have to register and create a user name and password, but it's easy)

There are also some great articles for you too like:

Mom Moments

MOMOLOGY: Are you a Momologist? Check out a direct link for resources and building blocks to our new theme for this year. It has some really cool information from moms to moms. mom-ology.org

REGISTRATION
Registration for Waxhaw MOPS, which includes your annual membership for MOPS International, will begin in late August. I am planning for an Open House just before our first meeting to introduce our new Theme MOMOLOGY, Steering Team and get moms registered for our new year. If you are interested in getting your membership started before then, you are welcome to send a check for $45.00 made payable to Waxhaw Bible Church and I will get you registered sooner.

Send to:

Waxhaw Bible Church

Have a great summer! Can't wait to see everyone again in September; it will be here before we know it.

Blessings,
Heather Steele

Suncreen Information

Submitted by Andrea Anderson

Here's some good sunscreen info which I thought might be good for the blog, since it's getting to be summer now!

Lots of people don't know that some sunscreens are actually really bad (containing toxics or hormone disrupters, lovely). Also, some of ones that say "broad spectrum" are not really. The FDA currently does not regulate sunscreens, and the companies don't have to prove that they work. This site lists good and bad ones and has a search function to check out the one you use.
